Forgetting things

With the first pregnancy, you know all the lingo and don't forget one milestone because it's all you have to think about and research. With pregnancy #2, I haven't researched as much because now I feel like I know what to expect (not to mention my time is taken up with Hadley and studying for my next actuarial exam). So, while reading a blog today, I just realized I had not been watching for when I "popped". I don't know when it happened, but I do know it's happened! My belly looks and feels much bigger than it did with Hadley at this stage. One big reason is it's common to get bigger sooner with the second pregnancy because you're body is ready to go back into that position. Another reason, I think, is I've been having some minor digestive/bloating issues that I did not have with Hadley. Sometimes I feel and look bigger than I am because my belly is just temporarily "swollen", lol.

As far as I can tell, the baby is doing fine. I think I felt a kick this week. We go back to the doctor for my 16 week check up on Tuesday. Praying for continued good news!

  1. I remembering having SO MUCH bloating with Taylor in the first trimester and even into the early part of the second trimester. I just thought it was normal until I talked to several people who didn't get to "enjoy" this lovely symptom ;0) . It was terrible to put on my normal pants that fit in the morning when I left the house only to not even be able to button them by the time I got home from work!
