Chris, Hadley, and I had a great this Sunday. The weather was gorgeous! Fall is finally making it's arrival after a hot summer and week or so of rain. We are getting anxious for Madeline's arrival, and I think she just might be getting anxious to meet us. I had a few contractions yesterday evening, last night, during church, and again this afternoon. They were all sporadic except for this evening. I had 3 in a row, all about 10 minutes apart. Since then my feelings have mostly been Madeline moving and stretching.
So, who knows what's going to happen when! We will all have to wait patiently... or anxiously! My next check-up is Tuesday.

38 weeks + 3 days
and still going! I slept better last night than I have in a while, and I can definitely tell a difference in how I feel today! Hadley shared her cold with me. I think I'm already over it (lasted 2 days and was very mild). This was a huge blessing because I had a horrible cold when I delivered Hadley. I remember being able to hear things, but it all sounded muffled. My mom kept having to repeat what the doctor was saying. I would much rather try this delivery without being sick :D
So, I know Madeline could come any day. I am thisclose to having all my goals complete at work! I wanted to get a few more things wrapped up, mostly to not inconvenience others. If she waits until mid-next week (or even this weekend), I should be able to do it!!! We will see though!
Hadley and I are off to the park to play with friends. It's been raining for what feels like 2 weeks... we're ready to get outside!

38 weeks!
It's almost time to deliver a baby!! Yes, I'm nervous!
Stats from my check-up today:
3cm, 70% effaced, head in the -2 to -1 station, great heartbeat, my blood pressure was good.
The doc and I both think she'll wait until next week to arrive, close to her due date like her big sister.

37 Weeks and Congratulations
I had my 37 week check up today. Much to my surprise (although I have no idea why), I have progressed to 2 to 3 centimeters! The doc asked, "Are you ready?" Uh oh! Nope! Well, I have a lot planned to do by the end of the week since Hadley's having a sleep over with Mimi and Popi. Nan has been a huge help in getting things ready too. As of tonight, all of the things we need for Madeline are washed and folded. I'm finishing up our laundry now so that I can pack my bag.
Over the next few days our new couch will be delivered (finally, a place to sit in the remodeled living/dining/kitchen area!), I get my haircut (I went into labor with Hadley on my hair appointment date. It drove me nuts not having my haircut for so long.), I'll get more things organized, some painting will be finished, light blocking curtains will be hung, the car should get vacuumed, and maybe even a few more things! I have a good list that I conveniently left at work Monday :P I'll get it tomorrow. Oh, and I hope to get a few more things wrapped up at work before going into labor!!
Madeline - we're very excited to meet you! However, keep growing and getting healthier so that you'll be ready to participate in our crazy family!
Congratulations to some of our best friends Travis and Tessa on the arrival of Molly Carolynn! Both mom and baby are doing excellent! Sadie is proving to be quite the loving big sister already. Tessa was in active labor for just over 3 hours. She delivered Molly with 4 pushes! Wouldn't it be nice if I can share a short delivery story like that! One day I'll get a pic of all 4 girls together - how cute! Tessa and I are working on a girls basketball team ;) She's responsible for the post players. I'll take care of the guards.

36 weeks
My 36 wk visit was rescheduled this morning to today. Boy was I glad Chris was working from home today (and was willing and able to keep Hadley).
A lot has been going on, so here's the quick list update:
1) Bladder infection ended up being Group B Strep. Will have IV antibiotics during delivery to increase the chances that Madeline doesn't get it.
2) I think I have one, if not two, small hernias from all the pressure of the baby. They don't hurt, so no concern. We'll see if they go away after delivery.
3) Got the flu shot today. Wasn't planned, but found out they had the preservative free shot, so I went ahead.
4) Almost 100% sure I won't get the H1N1 vaccine, nor will Madeline or Hadley. We think we've already been exposed to it when Chris had it a month ago.
And for the details you may be waiting on!!!
I'm 1.5 cm and 70% effaced! Woohoo! This is just slightly more than with Hadley. Madeline's heartbeat sounded great. Her head is very low. I was glad to hear she's in position (although I do know she could move).
There's no reason to think I'll come early or late. Just glad Madeline's doing well and my body is doing what it's supposed to!
