34.5 weeks

Whew, it's been too long since I posted. A lot has been going on!

In the last few weeks I've had a few mild issues. Apparently, for the first time in my life, I have a bladder infection. I knew I felt sick a few weeks ago... was needing to pee all the time... so I drank less... and then became dehydrated... which caused my blood pressure to get too low. etc.....
Well, my "pee pattern" hasn't changed. I just assumed this was typical pregnancy issues at this stage in the game. I just happened to have applied for new term life insurance and had a health exam. I found out from the health exam that I had a bladder infection which must've been behind all of the issues above! Now I'm on an antibiotic and hoping I will soon get to sleep for longer periods at night :D Come on, I've just got a few weeks of sleep left!

My doctor visits have gone well. I've gained 18 pounds - on the same track as with Hadley. I do need to eat and drink a little more. I'm not intentionally not eating and drinking enough. I think I just need even more nourishment that I did with Hadley because I now have Hadley to chase around!

Madeline's heartbeat has sounded good at every visit. I'm measuring right on target. My next visit, @ 36 weeks, the doctor will "check" me!! I wonder if I'll be dilated or effaced?? I bet something will have happened. I can definitely feel some changes and contractions. At 36 weeks with Hadley I was 1 cm and 70% effaced (I think).

Speaking of, one of my best friend's who is due 2 weeks ahead of me, found out she's a tight 3cm and mostly effaced. The doc told her to pack her bags!! That made me feel even more pressure to get our to-do list done!!

Madeline, we'll meet you soon!! Keep growing!

Almost 31 weeks

It's been quite a week! Started off with a small stomach bug, not drinking enough water, becoming dehydrated which caused my blood pressure to get too low. All that made me feel nauseous, so I didn't feel like eating. Not eating is not good when you should be eating for 2! I was weak for a few days, but have now gotten everything balanced back out. I am back to my normal 2nd pregnancy self - big belly, tiring somewhat quickly, and not sleeping well. Madeline moves so much and is so strong. I love feeling her move, although I have to admit, she's strong! Some of the kicks and pushes are uncomfortable. Madeline's most active time is between 10 and 11... my bedtime is 9:30. That should read - "My bedtime USED TO BE 9:30". Fortunately I've been able to get a nap in most days to make up for going to sleep late or not sleeping well.

At my 30 week visit this past Tuesday, Madeline measured right on target. Her heartbeat was good too. It seems like God is blessing us with another healthy girl! Chris and I were discussing her size. We're curious if she will be Hadley's size, bigger, or smaller? Of course I want her to be health most of all, but I hope she's not too much bigger for delivery purposes :D

Just over 9 weeks left. I'm getting more and more anxious to meet Madeline and hold her. Hadley has a certain level of understanding about the baby. An 18 month old's understanding. She'll rub my belly and say "Madeline". Sometimes she'll even kiss my belly! Tonight I showed Hadley a picture of herself around 4 months old. She pointed at it and said, "Madeline!" Chris and I both laughed and thought - well, they could look alike :D
